While browsing the available boot disk options in GCP I just noticed that Centos 8 is available. I somehow missed the official announcement… The interesting thing is that now ppc64le (which translates as Power 8/9 little endian) is officially supported. Now I just need a Talos II workstation 🙂 And while browsing the available ISOs I noticed that Centos 7 had an unofficial port for ppc64 (big endian) but supports only Power 7 and up… No joy for my Power 5 based Intellistation 285.
